We take a look at the new maps, what kind of maps have we added? First new maps in 16 years.
First off, DOM-Cryptic has been removed from the map list as it was running on life support. Undoubtedly the worst map in the list.
HoyaCE
New addition. Medium sized map with a chaotic, open central section.
Originally created by Tjen, the map went through a redux version with re-skin, re-theme and a couple of smaller but impactful gameplay/layout changes.
The map is quite flat and long in the horizontal plane, resulting in players sometimes having to make more than a few dodges to get back to their assigned positions.
The color coded trims on the various frames through out the map will help to guide players to their designated spots.
Here are some before and after pictures of original version/redux version:

AxonCE
New addition. A fairly small map, akin to Condemned and Lament in its size.
It's fast paced, especially on Aqua and Basement control points while Nook plays a little bit slower, a bit like Nook on Cinder.
Aqua is a hectic 2v2 spot that offers good opportunities for observant players to do callouts to remaining team members.

MalevolenceCE
An old map takes a new form. Malevolence is no stranger to any seasoned UT player.
This map offers new ways of playing an old classic with sneaky 1v1 fights on Corner and Basement.
Central control point has gotten two glass screens to play around and also makes it more difficult to just station a high fragger on high mid position, prompting them to take the fight at the control point instead.

FinalHourCE
FinalHour has undergone some changes that will make the games more fast paced. A new spawn has been added in the lower corridor between Boxes and Outside.
A lift has been added in the Outside area letting players get quicker to the upper areas, the boxes remain as an alternative route.
The old Catwalk control point has been moved to a new position and renamed to just 'Inside', we've also thrown in a jump pad in the middle of the room - again, to pick up the pace of the map.
New spawn point.
New Outside.
New Inside.
Keep on playing those pugs and let us know if you find any map exploits or bugs and we will upload a new batch of map versions before the cup starts.
