saCTF Draft Cup 2025 | POWER RANKINGS

By Ryan aka he|tah aka atr0city.

** These are straight up team rankings from worst (16th) to best (1st) not group based ratings. OPINION BASED RATINGS FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY.

#16. Worstenbrood United | –wu- (Group B) (Athje$600, dizzeh $820, light $730, Cassie $720, farA$520)

Predicted Groupstage Finish: #4 Group B

Coming in at the bottom is team –wu-. It was a hard decision on who to rank last here, I ended up going with –wu-. This team has the ability to prove me wrong as they do appear pretty balanced overall. Dizzeh and Cassie will make for a fairly strong defense. I feel the attack is going to be the issue with this team as Athje and fara both play similar low grabbing styles, fara generally plays like a 3rd defense from attack. Light I haven’t seen play much, but from what I have seen I feel his salary is a bit high and I don’t see him carrying the other 2 on attack. This team will be pretty solid on D, and annoying to play against but I just don’t see them having the attack power to put wins together.

#15. Dukes of Fuckshire | DoF (Group C) (FZ$690, xtreme$760, grassk1ng$650, BraveK$620, PlayFuL$620)

Prediced Groupstage Finish: #4 Group C

At 15th we have the Dukes of Fuckshire from Group C. I put this team near the bottom because there is a lot of unknown for me. grassking at 650 seems rather high, I have not seen him play SA I assume he’s better than iCTF but I cannot see him playing at a $650 level. I also have no idea who BraveK is at $620, I haven’t really seen this guy play and have no idea on his level. Fonzie and xtreme are going to do very well, and if playful can get more into form with SA this team has a chance. There is just too much unknown about this team for me which is why I rated them 2nd from bottom, I think they will have a very difficult time making their way out of Group C.

#14. Curse of RA | CurseRA. (Group A) (bat$810,

asking$930, Joschde$610, Kazuma$550, Squilly$440)

Predicted Groupstage Finish: #4 Group A

Coming in at #14 is CurseRA. This team could end up making a splash if everything clicks well and they have good chemistry. Asking is an absolute beast at SA, and is going to provide very strong defense. Assuming Joschde is the 2nd defender, it’s hard to know how he’s going to preform and what his chemistry will be like with asking. bat is a solid SA player and will have to carry the attack. Kazuma at $550 is actually pretty nice value as he is very active and continues to improve. Squilly will need to improve a lot to play at his current rating. Similar to –wu- I think capping flags and powerup control are going to be an issue for this team. Overall on paper it looks like a pretty strong lineup, and they can end up surprising. I just feel like team chemistry is going to be an issue on this squad, and they are in a very powerful Group A and I cannot see them finding a way into the playoffs.

#13. In for applause | IFA (Group B) (stong$850,

obstacl3$740, zcbz$600, LX$580, Saltos$560)

Predicted Groupstage Finish: #3 Group B

At #13 we have IFA. This is another pretty well rounded balanced lineup, which generally does well but similar to other teams I rated lower I don’t like the attack of this team which is why I think they will finish 3rd in group B and be unable to advance to playoffs. Obstacl3 and Saltos will make for a strong defense, not a powerhouse D but strong and stable. It’s safe to assume they will get lots of help from LX who tends to mainly go for frags on attack. So, although this team will be a bit annoying to play against I think their issue similar to most of my bottom ranked teams will be capping flags. Stong is an excellent attacker and has the ability to get flags out, he just isn’t going to have a lot of help as LX will be mid most of the time, and I haven’t seen zcbz play SA CTF yet to truly know his ability. For these reasons I have them at #13, but they certainly have a chance to make it out of groupstage if everyone plays at or above their level and they find some nice teamwork. Keep an eye on them!

#12. Hide and Peek | HP (Group B) (sheeva$500, nani$890, steel$890, kekwhore$810, chubbyrain$270)

Predicted Groupstage Finish: #2 Group B

Yes, yet another team from the very clear weakest group, Group B. Luckily for this team although they are being ranked overall at #12, they likely will still make playoffs and have a chance because they found themselves in a very weak group. What can I say with this team, where’s the defense? I don’t see any primary defender here, it is likely going to have to be steel or perhaps cromaniac to anchor the D for this team which will hinder the attack. They might even have to defend together which will cripple the attack for this team. That’s the issue, how do they set positions to get the best balance and value? It’s going to be a challenge. They have a lot of star power in nani, steel, and cro. But, will it be enough? Chubbyrain no offense isn’t going to provide a lot to this team. Sheeva at his rating is pretty decent and will do well at timing powerups. We will see what happens, I do predict them to make the playoffs but I cannot see this team going very far.

#11. Fatal Fury | -[FF]- (Group D) (jmoney$450, wdn$950, lavak3$820, scarz$800, murder$320)

Predicted Groupstage Finish: #4 Group D

Our first team to come out of arguably the strongest group, group D 1 and 1A with Group A. is going to be Fatal Fury. Pretty decent looking squad overall. I haven’t seen scarz play SACTF yet which is why I have them at the bottom of group D. He was doing very well in iCTF so he could prove to be quite an asset for this team. He is going to have to be the anchor on D as his partner is likely to be jmoney, so his play will be critical on wether this team succeeds or not. The attack looks pretty good for this team, ramdrop is going to takecare of the heavy grabbing as he always does, lavak3 will provide nice frag support and cover, and murder can assist with grabbing and pickups. Overall it’s a strong team. They didn’t quite crack the top 10 but if everyone is in form they have the ability to finish 1st or 2nd in their group and make a splash in the playoffs. For now, I don’t have them making it though, they can easily surprise and do well though we shall see!

#10. Spitze’s Kuchenhaus | SK (Group D) (caspa$770, RT$810, Nitro$690, dev$600, wario$500)

Predicted Groupstage Finish: #3 Group D

First team to crack the top 10 is going to be SK, also coming out of the powerful group D. This is a nice looking lineup on paper, and certainly has the ability to make it out of their group and advance to playoffs. I currently have them finishing 3rd in their group and just missing playoffs. Dev at $600 could end up being a massive steal if he gets into form, the defense for this team has lots of options as dev, caspa, nitro, and even RT at times can all defend very well. The attack is the only reason I don’t have this team at or near the top 5. This team lacks a pure attacker, who is going to be getting lots of grabs and flags out to mid on this team? That’s the big question and imo will be the issue for this team. RT is a good attacker, but generally plays more of a fragging and cover style. If they get flags to mid they

should convert a lot of them, getting them there will be the issue though. Overall strong looking team, we will see how they end up doing once the games start.

#9. Team nordog | Tn1219 (Group A) (nordog$430, Dewsick$990, Evolution$800, Grimreaper$750, arachne1552$380

Predicted Groupstage Finish: #3 Group A

It’s hard to not put any team with the GOAT Dewsick in it at top 5. But in this case, 3vs5 anyone? Nordog is not the player he used to be, he will still provide something but arachne? Who the hell is that guy? The great unknown, do they even exist? Do they play this game? Who knows. Assuming they are an expected full 4v5 level of player it’s going to cause issues for this team. Evo and nordog I’m assuming will be the defense for this team, which will be decently strong. Dewsick and Grim is going to make for a very powerful attack even if arachne is non-existent. This team on paper has the ability to beat anyone in the cup, and they just might do that. They are in arguably the strongest group along with group D, in Group A. I feel like this team might struggle vs balanced teams as the overall frag power might be an issue if nordog and arcachne hit very low. We will see what happens, I have them at #3 in group A which for my teams sake I hope is true ;p but they could easily end up taking 1st in the group if arachne is a suprise player and nordog plays well.

#8. Snail Squad | Snails. (Group D) (slipz$780, blackout$830, brr$670, Draymith$590, ReadysetKO$490)

Predicted Groupstage Finish: #2 Group D

Coming in at #8 will be the snail squad. Nice looking team here, I have them finishing 2nd in the very strong Group D, and they could end up finishing 1st. This all NA squad will give them a nice advantage when they are able to pick NY servers against eu opponents. Chemistry will be solid here. Very balanced lineup as well. Tony at $490 should prove to be a massive steal at this price, and can easily preform at a mid $600’s level of play. slipz is likely to have to play D again, and has lots of options to def with him as dray, blackout, tony can all def. I do predict it will be primarily slipz and dray on d though. If blackout is able to get back into form this is going to be a very nice attack as well, dray is a smart player and is always nice to have on your side in big matches. Bear is an OG and when he’s on can take over games on attack, expect him to be the main guy bringing flags out. Blackout will provide the fragpower the team needs on attack. I like this team a lot, and can see them going far.

#7. Team Crispy | _wtv_ (Group C) (Crispy$735, alpha$950, Humpty$790, 51.flux$600, twistz$300)

Predicted Groupstage Finish: #3 Group C

The crisp drafted himself a very nice team here. alpha despite not being the most active, is an absolute beast and when he is playing at his best can out preform anyone in this cup. Crispy has been grinding sniper, and can easily play well above his salary of 735 when he’s on. Humpty a nice teammate who should help with timings along with alpha and provide a nice support role for the team. The only reason I don’t have this team making it out of Group C is because 51.flux is a complete unknown to me. I have never seen him play before, apparently he plays sniper tdm at night? Idk, but all I do know is he is the X-Factor for this team. If flux turns out to be a good player, this team will be very hard to beat if he’s able to def with crispy and allow alpha, humpty, and twistz to attack. That is going to be a powerhouse attack that is likely to have control of most of the powerups. This will be an interesting team to watch. If flux turns out to be a good solid player, this team has a chance to win the entire cup.

#6. BRICK FUCKIN’ WALL | [=BFW=] (Group A) (atr0city$830, Own34dor$880, tOLozZ$725, Stoneco|d$510, E|ite$410)

Predicted Groupstage Finish: #2 Group A

Well, I can tell you that prior to the draft I did not plan on drafting a single one of these players lol but drafts never go perfectly to plan, do they? I ended going for a well balanced team with a strong attack. Stonecold at $510 has the ability to play at better than his salary and be an excellent secondary defender along with myself is the primary. The attack for my team should be it’s strongest part. Ownador is a beast at SA, and always gets flags out. Tolo also is an excellent attacker and can well outpreform his rating. Elite at $410 can provide good grabbing support and also out preform his rating if he practices more. Getting out of our Group and making it to the playoffs will be very hard in this group, but if a good chemistry is found we hopefully can make a bit of noise in this cup.

#5. Royal Renegades | -}RR{- (Group D) (Keizer$930, riven$940, Jerome$780, Lineage$400, gamertomthebomb$330)

Predicted Groupstage Finish: #1 Group D

Coming in at #5 overall, and predicted 1st place in their group will be the Roal Renegades. This team is very top heavy, and those 3 will have to do most of the carrying to win games. This team does though have 3 of the best iCTF players in kzr, riven and jerome. Jerome at only a $780 salary should easily be able to outpreform that salary if he practices at all. I assume kzr is planning to defend with lineage. Kzr is a beast, and will provide lockdown defense vs most teams, if lineage can preform at a decent level this teams D will have no issues. Riven is a monster at SA, and will carry the attack. With Jerome alongside him doing the majority of the grabbing, this could be a very nice balance with rivens fragging

and it will prove to be a very tough attack to stop. Gamertom has been practicing, and already does more than enough to be effective at such a low salary. I predict this team to finish 1st place in Group D, and make a strong push in the playoffs. They have the ability to reach finals, and possibly even win the whole cup if everyone preforms at their level.

#4. The Slam | Slam (Group C) (aleco$795, Skarn$940, FaKtor$680, Scream$580, Acidslam$390)

Predicted Groupstage Finish: #1 Group C

Aleco is brutally imo. He is a beast on attack. His powerup control is excellent, he always ends up with the majority of them. This team is very balanced, and in my mind is going to mix together perfectly. Skarn will anchor the defense alongside Scream. Aleco is going to control all the powerups, be annoying on middle, while also providing grabs himself. Faktor works well on this team because he can pile up a ton of grabs, which is going to be exactly what the team needs with aleco doing all the other work. I see a very good flow and chemistry to the overall attack here. Acid will do something, and tbh he doesn’t need to do much at a salary of $390. The main x-factor here will be scream. He doesn’t need to do anything crazy as he has Skarn at his side, but scream can at times have long stretches where he hits absolutely nothing and just gets run over and completely falls apart. If he can avoid that, and just be generally stable this team will be very difficult to beat.

#3. Newnet Enjoyers | NE (Group C) (Loko$870, kHr$940, magik$720, Buster$455, imperium$400)

Predicted Groupstage Finish: #2 Group C

At #3 overall, and 2nd in their group we have the Newnet Enjoyers. They cracked the top 3 mostly because loko and khr are beasts in SA, and have ability to carry any team. If I knew more about magik’s ability I’d likely have put them 1st or 2nd overall. Buster at $455 will do his part on attack, he doesn’t frag much but provides lots of grabs and can be difficult to hit. khr will do what he always does, frag a ton, get powerups, control the game. Loko will be the anchor D, and I’m not sure who his partner is. Perhaps magik, or imp? I simply don’t know enough about magik, buster, or the level that imp is at to properly rate this team. Despite all of that, I still have them at #3 overall.

#2. Team x4 | x4. (Group B) (unreal$805, Anaconda$840, Naru$820, Decl$500, Fuers$400)

Predicted Groupstage Finish: #1 Group B

Well, this team is going to simply cruise through groupstage as they found themselves in by far the weakest group in the cup. I think they might not even lose a map until after they reach playoffs and find some tougher opponents. This is a scary team. Naru still finds himself at a rating he can easily play above. He does very well controlling powerups, and a super fast flag runner, he will anchor the attack. Decl should be the secondary defender with either unreal or anaconda likely map depending. Decl at his current ability will do more than enough as the secondary defender, and can only get better. Fuers from what I’ve seen currently is the only player on this team who is playing a bit below their salary, but he can improve and play above that. This team will have great chemistry as they have teamed together before, it’s very well balanced and will be tough beat for anyone in the cup. I have them at #3 overall, we will see how deep they can go come playoff time.

#1. Wild Animals | Wild. (Group A) (WildCAT$480, dB$900, Fen1x$830, ispyz$825, eki$350)

Predicted Groupstage Finish: #1 Group A

At #1 overall, and predicted 1st place from Group A we have the wild animals. Wildcat destroyed my own draft plan with her very first pick in the draft of eki at 350. He, in my opinion was the best low salary player available. He provides a ton of grabbing, and is excellent at timing all the powerups on attack. It’s supreme value from a $350 rated player. This team is scary. Everyone on this team has good experience in sniper, and timing powerups. dB is one of the strongest attackers in the game and for SA and is going to be tough to stop. Fen1x along with I’m guessing ispyz will be a super strong D that will be hard to crack. I predict this team to come out in 1st place from group A, and they are my predicted winner of the entire cup. They are perfectly well rounded, should have great chemistry, have some underrated players, they have everything they need to win this cup and I think they will.
