Playoff Changes
The TOP 3 teams of each group will advance to double-elimination playoffs. Details inside.
After receiving multiple requests and consulting with team captains, it was decided that TOP 3 of each group will proceed to the DE playoffs (as opposed to the original TOP 2).
As such, group winners will advance directly to WB R2, while teams finishing 2nd/3rd will fight in Round 1. This extends the playoffs by 1 additional week and increases the total number of playoff matches to 10. See illustration below.
